FROM FATHER TO SON, A PASSION FOR BEAUTY.

Luca Vivioli followed in the footsteps of his father Lazzaro Vivioli, a very renowned antique and art dealer who opened his first showroom in 1955. After studying economics and commerce, he moved to London in 1987 where he took the degree course in fine and decorative arts from the Victoria and Albert Museum and obtained his Master in Oriental Arts from SOAS (School of Oriental and African Studies), in collaboration with the auction house Sotheby's. He returned to Genoa in 1992 where he opened his first gallery at the Doge's Palace, renovated that year for Colombian celebrations.

In particular Genoese and French furniture, old master paintings, oriental carpets, rare objects and works of art and everything that stimulates its refined taste, cultivated in the family, always in search of the highest level of quality to satisfy the international customers who frequent his gallery in his hometown or his stands at the fairs. Recently his keen connoisseur’s eye opened to some selections of Modernism and Contemporary art expression to meet the changing taste of his international clients. He had regularly exhibited in the most important fairs in Italy such as the Bienniale of Florence and Milan, Gotha in Parma, Modena Antiquaria and others. Abroad, he exhibited at the Salon du Collectionneur at Grand Palais in Paris, Eurantica in Brussels, Olympia International Art & Antiques Fair in London. He’s also a key figure in the cultural also collaborates with local institutions for specific cultural events.

I love nothing more than learning, traveling and discovering works of art. The emotions I feel in my search, reflect my unwavering curiosity for finding and sharing the timeless beauty that defines the journey I started the first time my father showed me his beloved collection of marvels.
